"This is a lifestyle decision for us...
Inspired
by the richness
& beauty
of the Balinese culture.."
After
living and working for 5 years in Indonesia, Kerrie Clark,
and her husband David, returned to Australia with
the inspir-
-ation to bring a little piece of Bali back...Kerries
sister, Tina Richards, was also enthusiastic,
having visited her sister in
Bali so many times. "Having
lived for some years in Bali, we
really wanted to emulate that wonderfully
captivating expe-
- rience that Bali can give - The richness
of the colours, sou-
- nds, smells, and the intensity of spirit
that abounds in the
work of the artisans.
Like most Australians we were both amazed and
inspired by
the Balinese boldness of spirit, and
indoor/outdoor style of living, which was
so reflective of our own."
"All
Balinese people seem to be artisitic in some way - carvers, painters,
weavers, potters and other artists can be found all over the islands,
providing a boundless supply of interesting items, for those who
are willing to seek them out." .

Our
hands-on approach ensures that we are
able to maintain the high quality of our stock,
and
also that any new techniques and trends are
immediately made available to our customers.
We are travelling regularly, not only to Bali,
but to
a number of Indonesian islands, Lombok, Sumatra,
Java, to source our artifacts. Our goods are tran-
- sported by road, to a warehouse in Bali...from
there, they are trucked to Surabaya, in East Java,
and then shipped to Singapore for transfer to
a
container vessel which delivers them to Sydney.
This all takes about 4 weeks door to door.
"All
of our gallery items are hand selected."
